Arriving in Wanaka:
1. Fly to Queenstown
then either
a) Hire a car at the airport
b) Take the local shuttle bus/coach service
2. Drive down the West Coast of NZ by car or camper van
  Lake Wanaka is approximately 2 hours from a settlement called Haast. It is a very beautiful and scenic drive, and is highly recommended.
3. Drive through the centre of the South Island

4. Charter a Flight service
  Several local flight operators offer scheduled and charter services upon request. Flights from Queenstown take approximately 20 minutes through spectacular alpine scenery.
